NYSERDA is a public benefit corporation committed to advancing energy and climate justice through investments in our economy and workforce that address historic inequities and improve health and resilience for all New Yorkers, especially historically marginalized communities.
The climate crisis is affecting New Yorkers through changes in temperature, precipitation, sea level rise, and extreme weather events. Climate change will have an unequal impact on communities of color because it is a threat multiplier, meaning it will layer upon existing public health, economic, and racial injustices in New York City, the United States, and around the world.
